Sure, you're not supposed to count your chickens before they hatch, but at a glance, this is Hussein's race to lose. And frankly, it's not even close. He's last year's State runner-up, and has the fastest XC 5k time of all returners by 50 seconds. Hussein also showed his finishing speed when he earned runner up by a hair in the 1600 this spring, splitting a 60-flat final lap even after one of his shoes fell off.
