PREVIEW: 10 Class A Boys Who Could Dominate This Fall

In 2016, Minnesota was able to witness a thrilling finish that separated the Class A boys State Champion from the runner-up by less than a quarter of a second. Both of those athletes return this year, setting the stage for an epic rematch. However, the sport saw loads of talent graduate this spring, including the State XC Champion from two years ago, Zack Emery. Besides Emery, 15 other All-State athletes will not be back this season, creating plenty of openings for motivated runners to propel themselves into the top ranks of the state. While the talent appears to be fairly senior-heavy this year, there's also a wealth of young promise, including a freshman and a sophomore who have already made waves against the highest tier of competition in Class A.
