It's Championships Galore On Conference Tuesday!

Weather: High 60's and sunny

BOYS

Top Teams: Jordan (48 points), Tri-City United (73 points), Belle Plaine (79 points)

Top Individuals: Owen Keiser (Jordan, 16:16), Lane Schwarz (LeSueur-Henderson, 16:41), Hugo Ruiz (Tri-City United, 16:46), Symon Keiser (Jordan, 16:52), Drew Hastings (Belle Plaine, 16:58), Kyle Siemon (Belle Plaine, 17:01)

The Skinny:

On paper, this race will be all about Jordan. 7th-ranked Owen Keiser ran to a 13th place finish at last year's State Meet, and has won this conference each of the previous three seasons. He should again take home the title easily this year. Led by Keiser and his younger brother Symon, the 10th-ranked Jordan boys should also cruise to a victory. This race could reveal if their squad could be a legit contender at State, as they'll need to close their 4-5 gap if they truly want to be a factor. Tri-City United and Belle Plaine also each have strong teams, as both have a sub-18 average.

GIRLS

Top Teams: Belle Plaine (31 points), Jordan (47 points), LeSueur-Henderson (72 points)

Top Individuals: Lizzy Schmidt (Belle Plaine, 19:36), Victoria Flores (LeSueur-Henderson, 19:46)

The Skinny: Only two girls have broken 20:00 this season, so the winner should be either Lizzy Schmidt and Victoria Flores. Schmidt has defeated Flores in all of their matchups this season, so she looks to be the slight favorite. She's the leader of the 4th-ranked Belle Plaine girls, who place all of their scorers in the top ten in the virtual meet. They should win somewhat easily, but keep an eye out for the very solid Jordan girls as well.
