Edina (MN)
In the month of October, Edina suffered two close losses to their conference and section rivals from Wayzata. However, their squad showed up at the Minnesota State Meet and pulled out the first Championship for the Edina boys ever. That win, in conjunction with their win at the Roy Griak Invitational back in September, put Edina in an excellent light if they don't manage a top-two finish at the Nike Heartland Regional, which may be a distinct possibility given the lack of an obvious team frontrunner in this competition. However, Edina is certainly the closest thing to a true frontrunner and will certainly enter the meet as the favorite. They've got one of the meet's top individuals in Max Manley, and excellent #2 in Willem Gokemeijer, and a strong supporting cast for the rest of their top seven. The average season best for their top five is 15:56, and given the nature of the Heartland course, it would not be surprising if their entire top five beats that time.
