Top 13 Heartland Girls With National Aspirations

Leah Kralovetz, Denmark (WI)

Arguably the best runner in Wisconsin, Kravoletz enters NXR Heartland on a roll after winning the WIAA D2 race over in state rival Dana Feyen, in a race that was never really close. Kravoletz already owned an eleven second gap at the mile, and she would finish the race having led wire to wire. Even more impressive, it was Kravoletz's first time under 18:00, and she was the only girl to do so. Her time of 17:46 was the fastest time of the day by 24 seconds. That showing was a promising sign, demonstrating that Kravoletz has progressed well from her 11th place finish at Griak. Kravoletz's rise has been meteoric, as she didn't even break 19:20 in 2017, before a breakout track season in which she broke 11:00 in the 3200m. She's clearly surging, and has the potential to insert herself with some of the top Minnesotans.
