The St. Kate's cross country team put on their spikes and uniforms for the first time this season as they hosted the SCU Mini Meet. Led by first year athlete
Kristina Poss the Wildcats finished second as a team with 54 points.
Competing on a soft and muddy course from the overnight rain, Poss finished sixth overall with a time of 16:32.
Jessica Rogers was second for the Wildcats, and 10th in team scoring with a time of 17:06. Rounding out the scoring for SCU were
Erin Coughlin (11th, 17:21),
Sarah Howe (13th, 17:43) and
Renee Crepeau (14th, 17:44). Also cracking the team's top seven were
Emily Eastman (15th, 17:46) and
Tamar Billiet (16th, 17:47).
The Wildcats return to action on Saturday September 18th at the St. Olaf Invitational.
