MINNEAPOLIS -- Augsburg women's cross country assistant coach Meghan Armstrong Peyton notched her second top-four finish at a U.S. Road Running Championship this weekend by placing fourth in the Medtronic Twin Cities 10 Mile race. The race was designated the women's 10 mile national championship by USA Track & Field. Peyton's time of 55:20 was a personal best at that distance.

Peyton tuned up for the 10-mile race by placing fourth in the USA 5k Road Running Championship, held in conjunction with the CVS Caremark Downtown 5k in Providence, R.I. on Sept. 19. Peyton's time was 16:25 and her fourth-place finish was her highest in a U.S. championship to date.

Peyton runs for the Team USA Minnesota Distance Training Center and is coached by Augsburg men's and women's head coach Dennis Barker.
