MIAC CHAMPIONSHIP WEBSITE
ST. PAUL, Minn. -- The Augsburg College women's cross country team competed at the 2010 Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Championships on a cool and windy fall day at the Como Park Golf Course. As a team, Augsburg recorded a 12th place finish in the meet's overall standings.
Augsburg was led by
Anika Clark (FY, Lakeville, Minn./Lakeville North) who recorded a time of 25:40.3 in her first MIAC championship race. Finishing behind Clark was
Kacie Bahr (JR, Brainerd, Minn.) who finished with a time of 25.48.8. Bahr's time is more than a minute faster than she recorded at last year's conference meet.
Shayla Fulford (FY, Perham, Minn.) recorded the third-best time for Augsburg at the championships, finishing the race in a time 25:51.8.
Jennifer Pulscher (JR, Colorado Springs, Colo./Liberty HS) and
Haley Diem (SO, Stillwater, Minn.) rounded out the top five for Augsburg, finishing with times of 26:11.0 and 28:19.5 respectively.
Carissa Miller (SO, Woodbury, Minn.) and
Adrienne Young (SO, Minneapolis, Minn./St. Anthony Village HS), recorded times of 29:34.7 and 29:35.1 for the Auggies. Miller's time was a season best.
The Auggies are off until Nov. 13, when they will travel to Waverly, Iowa to participate in the NCAA Division III Central Regional.
