MINNEAPOLIS --
Kacie Bahr (SR, Brainerd, Minn.) ran a strong race to lead the Augsburg College women's cross country team with a second-place finish in the Augsburg-Bethel dual on Saturday morning in Riverside Park. Bethel claimed the team victory over the Auggies by a 19-42 margin.
Bahr recorded a time of 20:53 on the 5,000-meter course on her way to a second-place finish, representing an improvement of more than a minute from her season-opening race a year ago.
Haley Diem (JR, Stillwater, Minn.) and newcomer
Hannah Ehling (FY, Montevideo, Minn.) finished in eighth and ninth, respectively, clocking times of 21:10 and 21:13. Diem also cut more than a minute off her time from this same race a year ago.
Anika Clark (SO, Lakeville, Minn./Lakeville North HS) and
Jennifer Pulscher (SR, Colorado Springs, Colo./Liberty HS) rounded out the top-five for the Auggies, claiming 13th and 18th places. Clark and Pulsher clocked times of 21:58 and 23:40 respectively.
Augsburg returns to action on Sept. 17 when it travels to Northfield, Minn. to take part in the St. Olaf College Invitational.
