Auggie women 4th at UW-Parkside

SOMERS, Wis -- Kacie Bahr (SR, Brainerd, Minn.) recorded a career-best time and finished in 13th place overall to lead the Augsburg College women's cross country team at the University of Wisconsin-Parkside Rosa Invitational on Saturday morning. As a team, the Auggies finished in fourth place overall in the 10-team race.

Bahr's time of 20:38 marks the fastest 5,000-meter time of her career and is almost two minutes faster than the time she recorded at the Rosa Invitational in 2009.

Hannah Ehling (FY, Montevideo, Minn.) finished in 17th place with a season best time of 20:44. Ehling's time was 29 seconds faster than the time she recorded at the Augsburg 5k race earlier this season.

Haley Diem (JR, Stillwater, Minn.) and Anika Clark (SO, Lakeville, Minn./Lakeville North HS) finished 19th and 26th overall, recording times of 21:00 and 21:25, respectively for Augsburg. Both times marked season-best performances for Diem and Clark.

Jennifer Pulscher (SR, Colorado Springs, Colo./Liberty HS) rounded out the Augsburg top five, finishing in 40th place overall with a time of 22:31. Pulcher's time is more than one minute faster than the time she recorded at the Augsburg Invite earlier this season.

Rounding out the Augsburg runners were Shayla Fulford (SO, Perham, Minn.), Carissa Miller (JR, Woodbury, Minn.), Emily Knudson (FY, Lake Elmo, Minn./Stillwater HS) and Adrienne Young (JR, Minneapolis, Minn./St. Anthony Village HS). Miller's time marked more than a three-minute improvement from her performance at the Augsburg Invite earlier this season.

The Auggies will return to action next Saturday (10/15) when they travel to La Crosse, Wis. to participate in the Wisconsin-La Crosse Tori Neubauer Invitational.
