Tri-Metro Conference Championships

The Blake School sweeps the Tri Metro Conference Championship on a cold windy day (45 degrees and winds of 15 mph). The third ranked Blake Bears guys team scored 38 points (1-6-8-10-13-17-22) edging 8th ranked Minnehaha Academy scoring 63 points (7-11-14-15-16-31-33). Minnehaha Academy was missing their top runner, Luke Brown, due to illness. St. Anthony finished a strong 3rd scoring 86 points (2-5-19-23-37-40-41). Brandon Clark (Senior) of the Blake School won the race with a fast 15:25 running alone for the entire race. Chris Lawson (Senior) of St. Anthony finished 2nd with a time of 16:12 pulling away from Steven Zeller (Senior) of Concordia Academy in the last 800. The remainder of the podium included Michael Destache (Freshman) of SPA, Michael Rosenberg (Senior) of St. Anthony, Matt McFarland (Senior) of the Blake School, Jacob Eggers (Junior) of Minnehaha Academy, Owen Duncan (Senior) of the Blake School, Evan Ferlic (Freshman) of MPA, and Zach Edinburgh (Junior) of the Blake School.

The second ranked Blake gals team scored 41 points (1-3-5-15-17-18-20) followed by Visitation with 62 points (2-6-12-19-23-25-29) and ninth ranked Minnehaha Academy with 84 points (7-10-11-13-43-52-55). Clare Flanagan (Sophomore) pulled away at the mile mark winning the race with a time of 14:31. Martha Hubbell (Sophomore) of Visitation finished second with a time of 14:54 followed by Jordan Chancellor (Freshman) of The Blake School running 15:17. The remainder of the podium included Mary Nass (Freshman) of the SPA, Carolyn Nye (Freshman) of the Blake School, Marta Seitz (Sophomore) of Visitation, Nicole Nipper (Junior) of Minnehaha Academy, Jennifer Walz (Sophomore) of Providence Academy, Rosie Simonse (Junior) of Providence Academy, and Ellen Snow (Senior) of the Blake School.
