SIOUX FALLS, S.D. - Just eight days after capturing the Class AA state championship, members of the Stillwater boys' cross country team put on a more dominating performance in front of a wider audience to win Sunday's Nike Cross Heartland Regional at Yankton Trail Park.

Competing against many of the top teams covering seven states, Stillwater scored 96 points to hold off Hartland Arrowhead (104) and Bismarck (139) for the top spot in the team standings. Burnsville, which placed 23 points behind the Ponies at state, followed in fourth at 166. In addition to Burnsville, five other teams from Minnesota finished in the top 10 on Sunday, including Edina, Rosemount, Wayzata, Eden Prairie and Hopkins in sixth through 10th.
