Kingsland graduate Chris Erichsen will be running with the best marathon runners in the United States Saturday in Houston, Texas, when he participates in the Olympic Marathon Trials.
The event will determine the three United States marathon runners to compete in the 2012 Olympics in London next summer. Erichsen qualified for the event last spring by meeting the tough entry standards when he ran a 2:18:24 to win the Shamrock Marathon in Virginia Beach, Va., only the second marathon he has ever run.
