Thunderhawks set for state meet

The Grand Rapids Thunderhawk girls track and field team already has the big meet experience as they finished fourth in the Minnesota State True Team Championships. Now, several members of the Thunderhawks will look to place at the Minnesota State High School League’s Class AA Championships on Friday and Saturday at Hamline University in St. Paul.
“I’m very pleased with the season. The girls were phenomenal,” Grand Rapids head coach Kevin Johnson said. “We had a really good time down at the section meet. We had great weather and the girls performed like we thought they could. You don’t always have that on the day that we need them but they did that.”
