A number of Rosemount High School athletes will compete in the Minnesota State High School League track and field championships this week. The two-day event will be held Friday and Saturday at Hamline University in St. Paul
Freshman Rachel Schow could be poised to challenge for a state title in the 100-meter hurdles, but she faces some tough competition. Her time of 14.49 is just behind defending champion Jessica January of Richfield (14.29). January won the event in 2011 with a time of 14.78 and set the Class AA record in 2010 with a time of 14.33.
