Park track & field: Alowonle wins four state championships, Wolfpack take second as team | South Washington County Bulletin | Cottage Grove, Minnesota
Park’s four athletes – Alowonle, D'Monte Farley, Irving Gutierrez and Dylan Smallidge – finished in second place as a team at this year's state meet. Park scored 64 points to finish behind Class AA State champion Wayzata, which scored 81 points.
Park senior R.J. Alowonle went out with a bang.
Alowonle, who will attend the University of North Carolina on a track scholarship next fall, won four state championships at the 2012 Minnesota State Track and Field Meet, held Friday and Saturday at Hamline University in St. Paul. The four state titles this year give Alowonle seven state championships overall.
