Gerdts is grand at state cross country finale on LeSueur News - Herald Nov 9, 2010

Throughout his high school cross country career, Andrew Gerdts’ hallmark has been consistency. No matter what course conditions or weather may bring, Gerdts consistently finished among the top runners in the contest. So there is a bit of irony as Gerdts crossed the finish line in his last high school meet – the 2010 State Class A cross country meet at St. Olaf College in Northfield. His time of 16:47 was exactly the same as last year’s state meet. How is that for consistency? (via lesueurnews-herald.com)

NORTHFIELD, Minn. -- The start Saturday's boys' Class 2A state cross country race was wide open for the individual championship.   But St Francis senior Adam Zutz was about to cap off an outstanding season. Zutz came from behind to edge Burnsville junior Cole O'Brien and win the 5,000 meter race in 15:33, two seconds ahead of O'Brien.   For Adam, all of his hard work and dedication to the sport paid off on Saturday and he said it felt great.   Adam is being recruited Division I for cross country but he hasn't made a final decision on a school yet. Right now, he's still enjoying the title "State Cross Country Champion." (via www.kare11.com)
