Minnesotans enjoy success at NBIN

Four Minnesota athletes competed in the New Balance Indoor Nationals, held at the Armory in New York this past weekend.

 

Grant Krieger (The Blake School)

Grant established another PR with a vault of 16-01.25, tying for 4th place in a field of 27 athletes with 22 posting marks.  Grant has decommitted to Wake Forest University and has narrowed his college choices to University of Kansas, Missouri and Wichita State.  He plans to make a final decision this week.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Joe Klecker (Hopkins)

Joe is only a sophomore at Hopkins HS but has clearly made a name for himself in the world of high school distance runners.  He placed 13th in the 2 mile run at NBIN with a time of 9:17.23

Maggie Ewen (St. Francis)

Maggie Ewen threw 54-01.00 for a PR on Saturday to win the NBIN shot put event.  Maggie will be competing at ASU in the fall.

Maria Hauger (Shakopee)

Maria Hauger showcased her distance running abilities in the girls 5000 meter run, finishing 5th in a field of 34 runners with a time of 16:44.08.  Hauger will run for the University of Virginia next year.
