FARGO, N.D. – All-state cross country and track performer
Jayden Cullen of Perham (Minn.) High School signed a National Letter of Intent to continue his education at North Dakota State University and compete for the Bison, NDSU head men's track & field coach

The addition of Cullen brings the 2014 recruiting class to eight signees. Cullen joins Nigel Hageness, a sprinter from Rugby, N.D.; Landon Jochim, a sprinter from Bismarck, N.D.; Matt Moberg, a jumper from West Fargo, N.D.; Payton Otterdahl, a thrower from Rosemount, Minn.;
Camron Roehl, a distance runner from Grand Forks, N.D.;
Branden Scheel, a distance runner from Fargo, N.D.; and Brennan Witt, a mid-distance runner from Custer, S.D., who will join the NDSU men's track & field program in the fall of 2014.
Cullen helped Perham HS to Minnesota Class A state cross country team titles in 2012 and 2013, placing eighth as an individual as a junior and fifth as a senior at the state meet. Cullen was a three-time state qualifier in cross country overall, and he also placed eighth in the Class A 1600m as a junior in 2013.
NDSU will host the Thundering Herd Classic at the Shelly Ellig Indoor Track & Field Facility on Feb. 7-8.
