Eleven Class A Girls Who Want To Make History In 2018

Tierney Wolfgram, Math & Science Academy, So

As just a freshman, Tierney Wolfgram put together one of the most impressive XC seasons in Minnesota history. After capturing her second consecutive Class A State title (defeating both Pings, albeit an injured Grace, in the process), Wolfgram qualified for both national meets and notched an All-American performance at Foot Locker Nationals, taking 7th. She stands as the third returner to that meet. And Wolfgram's dominating victory at NXR Heartland staked her claim as the best cross country runner not just in Class A, but in the entire state. Thus, it came as no surprise when Wolfgram was awarded the Minnesota Gatorade Cross Country Runner of the Year for her success last fall. She also recorder PRs in every distance event during track, setting herself up nicely to defend her State championship this fall. But that's just the tip of the iceberg: Wolfgram should also be in the mix for a national title come December.
