Buffalo
Buffalo returns six of their top seven guys from last years team that placed ninth at the State Meet. Buffalo will benefit from one of Minnesota's best low sticks in Isaac Basten, who placed 11th at last year's State Meet. Joining Basten will be a veteran group made up of seniors Alexei Hensel (who was, along with Basten, a member of Buffalo's State Champion 4x800 relay last spring), Ryan Russek, Braden Benson, and Joseph Anderson as well as junior Nick Oak. Oak and Russek both finished in the top 100 at State last year, and will look to improve upon those finishes. But key for this team, both in the immediate and distant futures, will rest in the development of their youngest runner, Jadon Boots an incoming freshman who was their 7th runner at the State Meet last season. With all this experience, this team could be a sneaky top-five team come the State Meet.
