Ten Class AA Girls Squads With The Biggest Potential

Red Wing

Rounding out the top ten teams to watch this season is Red Wing. The first thing in these girls' favor? Their 2018 returners boast a lean 45 second 1-5 split. In addition, a trio of frontrunners will give them both an impressive presence in the races they enter, as well as a solid edge points-wise. Last year, the Wingers finished a disappointing fifth in the deep Section 1AA and failed to qualify for State. This year, they look to be in good position to get a State bid, and to win the Big 9 Conference. With the experience of four-time cross country State competitor Jasmyn Armstrong in their midst, and two team State qualifications in 2015 and 2016, the Red Wing girls should be well-prepared to compete should they make it down to Northfield in November.
