Five Meets We Hope Don't Get Cancelled...

Weather: 67, high humidity, thunderstorms

BOYS

Virtual Meet ProjectionFarmington (37), Lakeville North (73)

Top Individuals:  Noah Revels (Farmington, 16:28), Henry Holcomb (Minneapolis South, 16:37), Tyler Osen (Lakeville North, 16:40), Brandon Stachewicz (Lakeville North, 16:43)

The Skinny: Farmington is just on the edge of entering the top twelve rankings for Class AA, for the second week in a row, with an Honorable Mention. They are ready to shine today at their home meet with five boys projected to finish ahead of any team's third runner. They will do so by being lead by the strong runner of Noah Revels. He has defeated both Tyler Osen and Brandon Stachewics who look to be his strongest competitors today. Osen has had two close finishes with Revels, most recently being at the Lakeville Applejack Invite where Revels beat Osen by 0.3 seconds. That race was when they were racing for the ninth and tenth place finishing positions so with the win on the line today, another close race can be expected.

GIRLS

Virtual Meet Projection: Farmington (35), Lakeville North (59), Shakopee (83), Henry SIbley (86)

Top Individuals: Anna Fenske (Farmington, 17:05), Lauren Peterson (Farmington, 17:26), Amanda Kelly (South Saint Paul, 18:57), Nicole Kelly (South Saint Paul, 19:01), Jayda Becker (Shakopee)

The Skinny: It is looking like it will be a Farmington sweep between the girls and boys at their home meet today. The girls mirror their boys team by sitting in the honorable mention position in the rankings for Class AA. However, the girls fell from their eighth place position in last week's rankings after finishing far behind Edina and Andover at the Lakeville Applejack Invite last Saturday. Lauren Peterson is off to a great start to her senior season with three wins and continuing to hold her second place ranking. She will be tough to beat on her home course but it will be interesting to see if her teammate, Anna Fenske, closes the gap between her. Fenske was off to a slower start to her season than usual but showed great improvement at the Lakeville Applejack Invite. She still has a bit to prove to assert herself back in the rankings but it looks like her season still has a lot of promise in it.
