Huge Day Of Racing Consists Of Twenty Meets

PREVIEW

Weather: 56 degrees, rain

BOYS

Virtual Meet Projection: Rochester Century (21), Rochester John  Marshall (46)

Top Individuals: Jackson Murray (Century, 16:32), Dakota Dowd (JM, 16:55), Nathan Schatz (Century, 17:05), Benjamin Larson (Century, 17:13), Caleb Feda (JM, 17:18)

The Skinny: Century holds a commanding lead in the virtual meet among their Rochester rivals. While they started the year out relatively slow, they've been heating up recently, culminating with a 17:07 average for their top five runners at the Ev Berg Invitational. And they are deep too - ten of the fifteen fastest runner in the meet are from Century. Senior Jackson Murray is coming off a great PR from that meet too, and he'll be the individual favorite. A win would be the first of his career, but junior Dakota Dowd cas also looked very good recently, and will provide a challenge for Murray.

GIRLS

Virtual Meet Projection: Rochester Mayo (37), Rochester Century (49)

Top Individuals: Hannah Lamaster (Mayo, 19:03), Hadley Jensen (Mayo, 19:29), Lauryn Renier (Lourdes, 19:45), Kaitlin Miller (Century, 20:09), Meg Degen (Lourdes, 20:16),

The Skinny: Rochester Mayo has the two fastest runner in Hannah Lamaster and Hadley Jensen, the only two runners to drop under 19:30 this season, but their last of depth after them could make this a close team battle. Mayo is still expected to pull out a win, but Century has come on strong recently and could have a breakout race at any moment. It's also worth mentioning that Helen Li's lifetime best is 18:36, so she could easily outdo herself this season and challenge the top runners (and it would greatly help her Century team too).
