Bauman-Rovn Headlines a Busy Thursday Meet Line-up

Location: Tracy Golf Course, Tracy

Weather: 83°, warm & sunny

BOYS

Virtual Meet Projections: Worthington (41), Redwood Valley (49), Canby-Minneota (109)

Individuals to watch: Adam Koller (Worthington, 16:24.2), Jayson Peyrel (Redwood Valley, 16:44.2), Christian Lietz (Worthington, 16:50.3), Mitchell Buerkle (Springfield, 16:53.7), Mikele Walu (Worthington, 16:55.6)

The Skinny: Worthington has three returners with PRs under 17 minutes which makes them the strong team favorite in our projection. Worthington senior Christian Lietz finished four seconds ahead of fellow senior Adam Koller at the Paul Metcalf Invite last week, both dipping under 17 minutes. Right now it does not appear anyone has the strength up front to match Worthington's possibly stacking three in the top five overall.

GIRLS

Virtual Meet Projections: Canby-Minneota (64), Murray County Central-Fulda (70), Pipestone (75)

Individuals to watch: Morgan Gehl (Murray County Central-Fulda, 17:48), Grace Drietz (Canby-Minneota, 18:30.5), Catherine Buffie (19:37.0)

The Skinny: The team scores will be tight with Canby-Minneota having a slight edge over Murray County Central-Fulda and Pipestone in our projections. The head to head matchup between two of class A's best individuals, Morgan Gehl of MCC-F and Grace Drietz of Canby-Minneota is sure to be a race everyone across the state will keep an eye on. Gehl winning will keep her team in the team score competition but Canby-Minneota could have three in the top ten, something none of the field will be able to duplicate.
