Athlete to Watch: Stillwaters Alexis Pratt

---

What are your expectations for this upcoming outdoor track and field season?

Some expectations I have every day is to stay consistent, improve and get better times when I run. Always stay mentally strong.

What have you been up to since we last saw you competing in track and field?

I play basketball. I have been doing a lot of that and staying in shape. Working out or going on runs. Doing a lot of form work.

What are you most looking forward to this season?

I'm looking forward to going to state, if I do go. I am really just looking forward to running again after having no track season from last year.

You are the top returning sprinters in the state this season, how does that affect your expectations for yourself?

Even though I know I'm a top returner, I still have to push myself and improve every day. It does not affect me cause I know what my goals are and how to achieve them.

How have you been training for jumps during this long track and field layoff?

I am not really a jumper. I was going to give it another try. The last time I jumped was 8th grade. I'm going to give it another try this year and see how I do.

You are committed to play basketball at UNO, did you have a choice for yourself between playing football or competing in track collegiately?

Yes I had a choice. I love both sports a lot, I enjoy playing them but I had to pick one. It was a hard choice but I love where I am at.
