The Next Minnesota Record Holders? Potential Record Breakers

---

George Jackson
Hopkins High School
Class of 2021
University of Kansas commit

Jackson is currently one of the best in the state in the 110m hurdles, 300m hurdles, and in the long jump. He currently has the best marks in the state in all three of those events. Though he has the best marks in the state in all those events, he is approaching the state record in only one of those events, the 110m hurdles.

Jackson currently has a PR of 14.04 in the 110m hurdles, which is the best in the state by 0.84 seconds. His time of 14.04 puts him 7th all-time in Minnesota high school history already. He is only about 0.40 seconds away from Tollefsons' record of 13.66.

0.40 seconds is still a ways off from the record, but with better competition, we know Jackson is capable of dipping under 14 seconds. He runs his best at championship meets as evidenced by his best 110m hurdles times in 2019 coming at the 2019 state meet and the 2019 New Balance Outdoor Nationals
