Alden Keller Starts Track Season Strong at California Meet

---

Alden Keller got an early start to his 2022 track and field season by traveling to California to compete in the Sundown Track Series hosted by Newbury Park. Keller ran the 3200m where he ran a new PR of 9:16.75 to take first in his heat.

Keller's time of 9:16.75 was not only a 3 second personal best for him, but is also already a better 3200m time run by a Minnesota runner than anyone all of last season. Last season, Emmet Anderson ran a 9:17.11 at state to win the Class A state title.

Keller in his interview from the meet said his goal is to join the exclusive group of Minnesota boys to run under 9:00 in high school. Only the 6 guys below have run sub 9 minutes in a 3200m race.

Can Alden Keller join those elusive groups of Minnesota boys who have run a sub-9-minute 3200m or 2-mile this season? Who knows, but he is already off to a hot start this outdoor track and field season, even before our official MSHSL season begins.
