Track and Field team and individuals honored

The United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association released their list of academic award winners, and the St. Kate's track and field team had five student-athletes named to the Division III  All-Academic Track & Field Team. The Wildcats team also earned All-Academic honors with a cumulative GPA of 3.42.

To earn a team award, the entire roster must have a combined GPA above 3.1. Of the nearly 450 DIII institutions, just over 100 meet the criteria.

To be eligible for individual academic award athletes must carry at least a 3.30 cumulative GPA. They must also post an NCAA automatic or provisional qualifying mark in an event during the season. The Wildcats individual award winners were Erin Coughlin, Kayla Engel, Kim Engel, Amanda Manship and Greta Sieve.

The MIAC was the most decorated conference in the nation with individual 48 student-athlete award winners and 11 conference teams qualified for the team award.
