WAVERLY, Iowa- The Augsburg College men's cross country team competed at the Dan Hutson Pre Nationals event hosted by Wartburg College Saturday morning. The Auggies recorded a 17th place team finish in the 8k event, which featured 24 total teams.
Augsburg was led by
Micheale Tesema (FY, Burnsville, Minn.) who finished 59th with a time of 27:29. Teammates
Matt Schafer (SO, New Brighton, Minn./Irondale HS) and
Joe Arnold (JR, Grand Rapids, Minn.) finished 72nd and 85th respectively, with times of 27:51 and 28:11.
Daniel Gerber (JR, Plymouth, Minn./Wayzata HS) finished in 96th place with a time of 28:30.
Augsburg returns to action Saturday Oct. 16 at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse Jim Drews Invitational. The meet will mark the Auggies last tune up before the MIAC Championships Oct. 30 in Saint Paul.
