Section 4A Girls Results: Holy Family and The Blake School Teams Book a trip to Northfield

Clare Flanagan of The Blake School breaks away at the half way point running a 14:42 on a cold windy day and soggy course.  Molly Eastman of Holy Family Catholic appeared to be closing the gap in the last 800 finishing second with a time of 14:53.

At the mile mark, there were multiple packs of runners totaling 15 runners with Jordan Chancellor of the Blake School leading the way.    These runners spread out at the halfway point, with the Blake School and  Holy Family showing their depth with their top 5 runners all in the top 20.  Trinity put up a strong battle to this point and early in the race they looked like the team to beat.

The final team results had Holy Family winning the meet with 41 points (2-6-8-12-13) and The Blake School finishing second with a score of 50 (1-3-7-19-20).  Trinity finished third with 122 points (4-11-18-41-48).

After Flanagan and Eastman, the finishers in order were Chancellor (15:13), Mary Ennis of Trinity (15:28), Janessa Meuleners of Belle Plaine (15:32), Michaela Rasmussen of Holy Family Catholic (15:36), Carolyn Nye of The Blake School (15:37), Abigail New of Holy Family Catholic (15:41), Casey Haffield of Minnehaha Academy (15:42), and Allie Picard of St. Anthony Village (15:46).   Lotus Schifsky of Trinity finished 11th.
