MEET RESULTS
SAINT PAUL, Minn.--
Shanek Telphia (SO, Chicago, Ill./Gage Park HS) recorded two first-place finishes in the 100- and 200-meter dash competitions to lead the Augsburg College women's track and field team at the Meet of the UnSaintly hosted by Hamline University Saturday afternoon.
Telphia, who also recorded a second-place finish in the long jump, clocked a time of 25.33 seconds to win the 200, and recorded a time of 12.37 seconds to finish first in the 100. Telphia will enter next week's Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference championships with the top times in each event.
Augsburg sprinter
Ashley Carney (SO, Lakeville, Minn./Lakeville South HS) recorded her top performance of the season in the 100- Saturday, as she finished in third-place with a time of 12.58 seconds. Carney's time ranks as the sixth-fastest in the conference this season.
Augsburg hurdler
Caroline Senungi (SR, Shoreview, Minn./Mounds View HS) recorded a fifth-place finish in the 100-meter hurdles Saturday, as she finished with a time of 15.93 seconds in the event finals.
Kacie Bahr (JR, Brainerd, Minn.) also posted a season-best performance Saturday, finishing the 400-meter dash with a time of 1:01.37 to place ninth, while teammate
Haley Diem (SO, Stillwater, Minn.) also recorded a ninth-place finish as she posted a season-best time of 2:22.64 in the 800-meter run.
In the field events, Augsburg thrower
Erin Leyden (SR, Glen Ellyn, Ill./Glenbard South HS) finished fourth in the hammer throw, recording a distance of 42.42 meters (139-02), while teammate
Kandace Bostick (FY, Minneapolis, Minn./Burnsville HS) finished fifth in the high jump with a height of 1.53 meters (5-0 1/4).
The Meet of the UnSaintly marked the Auggies final tune-up before this weekends (5/13-14) MIAC Championship Meet.
