MIAC OUTDOOR TRACK AND FIELD AWARDS

MINNEAPOLIS --The Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference and the NCAA recently released the postseason award winners from the 2011 women's outdoor track and field season. As a team, Augsburg recorded its highest finish at the outdoor conference championship meet since the 1996 season.

NCAA All-American:
Shanek Telphia (5th, 200-meter dash)

NCAA National Championship Qualifier:
Shanek Telphia (200-meter dash)

All-MIAC:
Shanek Telphia (1st, 200-meter dash)
400-meter relay (1st, Kandace Bostick, Ashley Carney, Katie Vrieze, Shanek Telphia)
Shanek Telphia (2nd, 100-meter dash)
Ashley Carney (3rd, 100-meter dash)

All-MIAC Honorable Mention:
Shanek Telphia (4th, long jump)
Katie Vrieze (5th, 200-meter dash)
Caroline Senungi (6th, 100-meter hurdles)
