Pulscher earns MIAC sportsmanship honors

MIAC WOMEN'S CROSS COUNTRY AWARDS

MINNEAPOLIS -- Augsburg College women's cross country runner Jennifer Pulscher (SR, Colorado Springs, Colo./Liberty HS) was named to the All-Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Sportsmanship Team, it was announced on Thursday.

The All-MIAC Sportsmanship Team is part of a conference-wide sportsmanship initiative. Members of the All-MIAC Sportsmanship team are selected by their coaches and teammates as individuals who demonstrate ideals of positive sportsmanship both on and off the field of competition.

A four-year veteran of the the Augsburg women's cross country team, Pulscher has participated in 26 meets during her career, including six this season. As one of the Auggies' most consistent runners, Pulscher has finished as one of team's top-five runners in all six of the team's races this season. Pulscher recorded a career-best time of 25:58 (6,000 meters) at the Minnesota Inercollegiate Athletic Conference Championships last weekend in St. Paul, Minn.

In addition to her performance as a student-athlete on the women's cross country team, Pulscher is a member of Augsburg's Student Athlete Advisory Committe (SAAC).

The Augsburg women's cross country team closes out the regular season on Saturday, Nov. 12, at the NCAA Division III Central Regional at Wartburg (Iowa).
