Fernandez 3:37 in Bloomington for Olympic Trials A standard

Three athletes met the Olympic Trials 'A' standard in Sunday's 1500 race at the Bloomington Twilight hosted by Indiana University. Oklahoma State's German Fernandez led the way with a 3:37.76 1500 in just his second race of the season. Fernandez edged out recent NCAA champion in Indiana's Andy Bayer (3:38.07), who also hit the Olympic Trials 'A' standard. Wisconsin's Rob Finnerty was the third athlete to qualify with 3:38.60.
