CLOQUET — Reed Melicher’s first-place finish in 16:34.2 at the Section 7A Cross Country Meet helped propel the Eveleth-Gilbert Golden Bears team to second place, while Abbey Whiting’s fifth-place run in 15:46.4 gave the Mesabi East girls third place overall on Thursday at the Cloquet Golf Course.
