PREVIEW: 10 Class A Boys Who Could Dominate This Fall

Two tenths of a second are all that separated Matt Steiger from the 2016 State title. That slim of a margin is one that has likely crossed his mind more than a few times, and he'll surely be ready for the opportunity to erase that deficit this season. A season ago, Steiger led his strong La Crescent squad to a 3rd place finish, placing them on the podium. However, that team looks a little different this season: his teammate, former State champion Zack Emery graduated, placing more responsibility on Steiger as the sole low stick for the team. Steiger also had an impressive track season, in which he ran 4:21.10 in the 1600, a time that was the 2nd fastest of all class A athletes this spring. Steiger looks to be in prime position to compete for the crown that he just barely missed in 2016.
