Aiming for State? Class A Girls

Madalyn Kammer (Chatfield) posted a time of 57.79 in the 400 meter finals to take home the title in 2013, bettering her prelims time by nearly a second.  Photo by David Eickhoff.

Are you setting your sights high with a goal of competing at the State Track and Field Meet in early June?  One way to help set those 2014 goals is to take a look at what level of performance was necessary to get to state in 2013.

Here is a look at each event and what it took to make it to state in 2013 for Class A girls.  In addition, I've added columns that reference the qualifying standard at the section meets from 2013 as well as the new standards for 2014.  The number listed after the mark is the number of seniors that were in last year's state field for each event.  There are 13 weeks from the official start of Minnesota's track season (March 10, 2014) to the state meet (June 6-7) - make the most of those 13 weeks!
