Not only will La Crescent have one of the top teams in the state, they will also have one of the top runners in the state, Matt Steiger. Steiger took 2nd in state by two tenths of a second last season, and he will be focused on not only leading La Crescent to another state podium finish, (they finished 3rd as a team last season) but potentially an individual state championship. As a team, La Crescent doesn't have it easy. They will have to replace 3 runners from their state team last season, one of them being Zach Emery, the 2015 Class A state champion, and the 4th place finisher in state last season. Despite the losses, look for La Crescent to be among the top teams in state all season long.
