PREVIEW: 10 Class A Girls You Need To Watch Out For

Kayla Christopherson (Junior, Austin Pacelli)

Out of all the contenders this fall, Kayla Christopherson might just have the longest resume. One season ago, Christopherson took 6th in the state for cross country, which was her third consecutive All-State honor, and second consecutive time placing in the top ten. As one of just a few upperclassmen among the top ranks of the state, Christopherson will look to use her experience to her advantage, especially in the postseason. She did so extraordinarily in 2016, when she went from 24th at the 1600 to 12th at the 3200 to her 6th place finish. She seems to have her best races on the big stage, as her PR as well as last year's best time came on the State course, so look for her to have a strong performance come championship time.
