Few Class A athletes, let alone Section 4A athletes, have ever been as dominant as The Blake School's Clare Flanagan. A six-time State Champion between track and Cross Country, and undefeated against Minnesota competition in her junior year, and the owner of both the 3rd-fastest 1600m and 3200m times ever in Minnesota, Flanagan even defeated four-time Class AA cross country champion Maria Hauger. Only the Class A Stet Meet record holder Bria Wetsch of Holy Family Catholic is preventing Flanagan from owning the top three times in Section history. Unfortunately, a knee injury prevented Flanagan from running her senior year, and she elected to end her competitive running career after her freshman year at Stanford.
