After switching Big 9 Conference schools from Austin to John Marshall between XC and Track seasons, Meti Omod will remain a wild card in section 1AA. His rapid move to the top pack of runners in section 1AA included racing to a 16:50 in his first year of cross country as a sophomore in 2017, which placed 15th at the section meet. After breaking two minutes in the 800 in the 2018 track season, he came on strong last fall with a 15:58.30 PR to finish third at sections and move on to the State Meet for the first time where he finished 36th overall. Despite a limited sample size, Omod has big upside worth keeping track of this season in new surroundings during his senior year.
