BELLE PLAINE (7)
Belle Plaine looks to be a team that will rely on the strength of it's first through seventh runner depth. The Tigers' top two pairing of McKenna Herrmann and Lizzy Schmidt (19:26 and 19:56 PRs) are solid but slightly behind the results of many of the top runners in class A. Yet, Belle Plaine will have all seven runners in the neighborhood of many team's fifth runner making their pack the team's strength this season. The Tigers seventh fastest returning time is just 30 seconds behind the PR of number three Malina Koepp (20:32). Belle Plaine is another team with all seven 2018 state meet participants returning for what could be at least two more years. The defending 2A champs look to be the strong sectional favorite again this year but improving their 12th place state meet finish will be based on the progress of their pack.
