With the cancellation of the 2020 MSHSL spring season and the advent of a third-class being added in the fall of 2021, Minnesota track and field is in a state of transition. And with transition comes uncertainty. But it also presents an opportunity.
With the sheer quantity of opportunities present this upcoming track season, it can be difficult, maybe even impossible, to predict what might happen. Even at this very moment, there is no certainty about the MSHSL even hosting a State Championship competition for track & field, and starting guns have started going off as of last week, but it's always a ton of fun to speculate!
As such, here are a few bold predictions we have for this track season, and why we think they will come true...
