Championship season is officially here with Conference meets slated to start this week! It's really exciting to be back at this point, and last week we had some impressive performances from many runners going into the most important part of the season!
This poll will be for performances from October 4th to October 10th.
Each will there will be four boys and four girls for each poll. Participants are based on the MileSplit Minnesota staff's opinions. The rest is up to you!

Ethan Hanold of Wayzata ran a huge personal best time of 16:17.80 to lead the Wayzata boys to a win at the STMA Invite. This is the third straight week he has led the Wayzata boys to the finish line after he did the same at the Milaca Mega Meet with their B squad and at the JV race at the Metro Invite. He has now PR'd two weeks in a row, improving his PR from 17:13 down to 16:17. This is a big improvement for the senior as he finished last year's Lake Conference meet as their 16th runner.
Alden Keller ran a nice new PR of 15:29.13 to win the Eagle Ridge Academy Invitational to beat out his teammate, Harris Gulbransen, by a minute. This is an 8 second PR for Keller after he had previously PR'd at the St. Olaf Highschool Invitational. This is the second-fastest individual time in the state this fall after Sam Scotts 15:21.
Andrew Casey surprisingly just won his first-ever cross country 5K race at the Ev Berg Invitational. He beat out Finn McCormick and Henry Karelitz to take the win with a personal best time of 15:46.90. He beat McCormick by 4 seconds. This is his first time running a sub 16:00 5K and a 26 second PR. He also led the Lakeville North boys to a 6 point win over the #2 ranked Rosemount boys.
Jakob McCleary almost set a new personal best en route to winning the Perham Yellow Jacket CC Harrier Classic with a time of 15:51.25. He beat out Lakeville Souths, Ethan Starfield, by 40 seconds. This is a seasonal best time for McCleary and his 4th win of the season.
Elise Hofer ran the second-fastest time by an eighth-grader at the Sauk Centre Invitational en route to a 3rd place finish. Her time of 19:19.35 was a 21 second PR over her old personal best of 19:40 from earlier in the season. It is the second in her class for Minnesota only behind Sara Gastony.
Ali Weimer ran a seasonal best time of her home turf at the STMA Invite to win her fourth race of the season. Her time of 17:43.30 is her second fastest 5K ever only behind her PR of 17:40 and the second-best in Minnesota this fall behind Sydney Drevlows 17:38.
Amanda Overgaauw did Weimer a bit better and ran the state's second-fastest time of the season at the BOLD Invite. She ran a time of 17:41.27 to win her 7th straight meet of the season. She beat out her twin sister Ashley, by 1:48 to win the meet.
Molly Moening beat out a stacked field at the Alexandria Lions Meet of Champions with a time of 18:23.20. She beat out a field that had 12 other coaches ranked runners in the field and set a new seasonal best time by 30 seconds. She beat out Albany's Olivia Goebel by 3 seconds.
