Most Dominant MN Boys Track and Field Athletes of All-Time

Matthias Algarin (Long Jump)

As most of the state long jump all-time top ten marks were set in the 1970s, 1980s, and 1990s, we don't have a very comprehensive record of the all-time great long jumpers in Minnesota. What we do know is that Matthias Algarin holds 3 of the top 4 long jumps in our database. Only 12 guys, including Algarin, have jumped further than 23' 9.5" in their career, and Algarin is the only one after 2007 to accomplish that feat.

To break into the top-five all time you'd have to jump further than 24' 3". The state record is 24' 9.25 set by Von Shepard in 1982.
