Breker Finishes 2nd at Champs Sports Nationals

Robbinsdale Armstrongs Noah Breker continued his torrid pace at the Regional and National level meets this season with an incredible come-from-behind runner-up finish at Champs Nationals in San Diego. Breker finished only behind Kole Mathison with a time of 15:07.5, just beating Samuel Hansen to the finish line.

Breker helped lead the Midwest boys to a near-clean sweep at Champs Nationals where they won the meet with 18 points from Mathison, Breker, Simeon Birnbaum, Connor Ackley, and Cameron Todd. 

Breker continues his incredible run since the state meet with top-ten finishes at the Heartland Regional, Champs Midwest Regional, Team Nationals, and now Champs Nationals.

In the process, Breker was the first Minnesota boy to finish top ten at the Champs Midwest Regional since 2008, the first Minnesota boy to finish top ten at Team National since 2015, ran the 2nd fastest Champs/Footlocker Minnesota boys time all-time, and broke the state 5K record at the Heartland Regional. 

Breker finished off an incredible senior season that had him win his first five races of the season which included the St. Olaf High School Showcase and Roy Griak titles, breaking the Gale Woods Farm course record, and breaking the state 5K record previously held by Seth Eliason.
