Mechura Runs Historic 3200m at Roseville Invitational

Robert Mechura a sophomore at Roseville high school stole the show at the Roseville Invitational running the 3200m in a time of 9:10.69. Mechura was already a strong runner with cross country state meet appearances, national meet appearances, and some incredible performances for both cross country and track. 

With that his time of 9:10.69, Mechura launched himself into a different level of running in Minnesota.

Mechura broke the Roseville school record of 9:12.50 set by former state champion and now Harvard standout Acer Iverson in 2019.

With his time of 9:10.69, Mechura now ranks 6th all-time in the 3200m by a Minnesota sophomore boy, just ahead of former Wayzata standout Khalid Hussein.
