Semling, Wamah, Richter, and Udovich are standout sophomores who have found themselves at the top of Minnesota for track and field. Here are their performances that placed them in the top ranks.
Boys
Sophomore Erik Semling of Cotter Schools is undefeated in the 3200m this season, including a huge win at Hamline Elite Meet, where he ran 8:54.34. With that performance, Semling is the #1 3200m runner in the state.
Another sophomore who currently leads the state is Roseville Area High School's Jamal Wamah. He finished 1st in the triple jump at the Roseville Invite, jumping a lifetime best of 47-10. He later stepped onto the track, finishing runner-up in the 400m with a PR of 51.38.
