Several Minnesota high school track and field athletes posted personal bests at meets during the week of May 11.
Beckett Homstad (Hermantown) won the 110m hurdles in 14.59 at the LSC C Team Championships on May 14, improving from his previous best of 17.65. The mark ranks #9 in Minnesota and sets a school record for Hermantown High School. Homstad also set a personal best in the 300m hurdles, running 44.42 to improve from 44.80.
Eliza Hoeben (Lakeville South) ran 15.39 in the 100m hurdles at the Class AAA State True Team meet on May 15, placing 6th of 36 competitors. The time improves on her previous best of 16.52 from April 2026 and ranks #29 in the state.
Yasmine Scott (Woodbury) ran 12.55 in the 100 meters at the Park Last Chance Meet on May 12, finishing 2nd of 29 competitors. The time improves from her previous best of 13.65 set in May 2024 and ranks #70 in Minnesota.
Deaven Riles (Blaine) ran 15.24 in the 110m hurdles at the Class AAA State True Team meet on May 15, placing 10th of 36 competitors. The time improves from his previous best of 16.91 and ranks #43 in the state. Riles also set a personal best in the 300m hurdles, running 40.67 to improve from 42.07.
Blayne Schug (Rocori) won the 100 meters in 10.82 at the B Lohrman Invite on May 12, improving from his previous best of 11.74 from April 2025. The sophomore's time ranks #21 in Minnesota, #1 among sophomores, and sets a school record for Rocori High School.
Alexis Ibanez (Saint Peter) ran 12.43 in the 100 meters at the Class AA State True Team meet on May 16, placing 4th of 24 competitors. The time improves from her previous best of 13.10, ranks #51 in the state, and sets a school record for Saint Peter High School. Ibanez also set personal bests in the long jump (18-3.75, improving from 16-6.5) and triple jump (35-6.25, improving from 35-5.5).
Kylee Loren (PACT Charter School) won the 100m hurdles in 14.73 at the Class A State True Team meet on May 16. The sophomore's time improves from her previous best of 15.47 from April 2026, ranks #8 in Minnesota, #1 among sophomores, and sets a school record for PACT Charter School.
